Map of the Week

I was actually looking for a map of Korea but thought this would be useful to orient Korea in its larger context. Korea is on the right side, just west of Japan. Some impressions:
- I always thought the Japanese islands were oriented North-South. So it's a bit of a surprise to learn they're actually oriented more NE-SW.
- Mongolia seems to be an actual country rather than just a region as I previously thought.
- The bulk of China seems to be more southern than Oregon, same goes for most of the countries I know in Asia.
- I really don't know this part of the world </Aurelius> <!--4:21 PM-->
Finally! A baseline for me to gauge relative political ideology, http://www.politicalcompass.org/.
I'm currently trying to catch up on my political science studies, especially in regards to ideology. Currently, I'm reacquainting myself with the differences between socialism and communism.
